Why Force It?

Why force it? Why push it? Why demand? Why insist on only what you want? Why be so hard on everyone, including yourself?

Why tell everyone about it? Why scream to the whole world about a private problem? Why air our dirty laundry? Why share things that no one else has business knowing?

What happened to discretion? What happened to giving a chance? What happened to patience and understanding? What next misstep will you curse to the high heavens?

Who’s really to blame? Who gets all the pain? Who insists that no one gives a damn, that all deserved attention is lacking? Who’s required to fix everything?

When will this happen again? When will the day go sour? When will paralysis rear its ugly head? When will making a difference give way to blind hate?

How can we end this? How can we finally resolve everything to your satisfaction? How can the rage subside? How can we express ourselves more constructively?

Just a thought, but I think a word to answer most of the questions is “tact.”

I think your answer is especially relevant to the last paragraph. I myself have a lot to learn about tact.

Well, nobody’s perfect. Come to think of it, my previous reply here was a bit tactless. At least, that’s what I think. In case, it is, please accept my apologies.
