Where Can I Find Great Furniture?

Head over to Kenneth Cobonpue’s website. Kenneth is a Filipino (like me!) furniture designer based in Cebu. Namamangha ako sa kanyang mga disenyo (loose translation: I ph34r his l33t design sk1llz!).
His distinctive style mixes modern and ethnic sensibilities. Still using bamboo, rattan and abaca as his ancestors did, Ken also throws in contemporary materials like nylon and steel into the mix. I get the impression that some of his creations float on air. It seems that at least one article has characterized Cobonpue’s furniture as “edgy but not at the expense of comfort.”
Apparently, I’m not the only one impressed. Cobonpue’s skills have won him many national and international awards. And his works have appeared in Magazines like Architectural Digest, Newsweek, the International Herald Tribune, and even Vogue.

i’d love to have such furniture in the future… beautiful… haay…
I wonder if Kenneth gives discounts to his own countrymen?
That certainly looks like a gorgeous piece… and very comfortable. The wicker looks just right!
One thing, if I may nitpick: I can’t see where I’d put something like that. From the picture, it seems quite large.
Glad you like it Bosko.
Well, you’re right about the size. The “Croissant”’s dimensions are 258cm x 130cm x 78cm (WxDxH). I guess I’d have to have a big living room/porch/space for this thing, but Cobonpue has also created smaller furniture that’s equally stunning.
Dear Guys….
Can you infom me the direct contact (email/phone/fax number) to Kenneth? because at this moment I have a task from my intsitution to looking for the filipino designers to be invited as a speaker and trainer. I live in Central Java Province, Indonesia. At this moment I take a technical assistance to rattan furniture cluster in this province.
Thanks before guys…
